Hate of the inevitable can't be healthy
Jul. 27th, 2012 12:08 amI hate the 80:20 rule, the law of diminishing returns. I want to do 100% of something, but time and/or energy run out before I get there. Life is full of loose ends, of unfinished things, of things that aren't quite right.
I could deal with some of this by procrastinating less, by not doing some things at all to make time for others, or by being less perfectionist.
I could accept the inevitability of being a bit crap and attain serene detachment.
Or I could have an idea for a blog entry about it, and then be disappointed that it didn't come out as well as I thought it could have.
