Ad-version
Apr. 3rd, 2012 03:14 pmWhy are adverts so awful? The more times I hear the same irritating advert, the more I hate the product and hope it dies a commercial death. I'll still never buy Doritos after they sponsored films on TV years ago. Same with Jaguar cars and the film Titanic, both on Spotify all the time recently. How hard would it be to produce something entertaining enough that you might actually think positively about the product?
My biggest beef is the repetition. Can't they manage enough variants that I don't have that sinking feeling of knowing it's the same dross that I've sat through a hundred times already?
To be fair, though, I was never going to buy a Jaguar anyway. But don't anyone else ever buy one, and don't see Titanic in 3D or eat any Doritos. Make them suffer.
