Lazing on a Sunday afternoon
Aug. 16th, 2009 05:21 pmI'm sitting in the shade of a bay tree (yay wireless network). There's a breeze, children playing in the distance, a dove cooing, and white butterflies who seem interested in every tree and bush but not the flowers. EC and I played table tennis earlier, but it was the middle of the day and we wilted after two games.
We are looking after friends' guinea pigs, and they're in the run on one side of me. On the other is a small table with a tea pot. Why thanks, I will have another cup! Cucumber sandwiches might seem in order, but my SO has just brought out a tray of samosas and onion bhajis. We might have a barbecue later.
I really should be:
- fitting the new loo seat
- fixing the cat flap
- cutting the lawn
- ... and a hundred and one other things
But I'm relaxing in the garden instead.
