Tedium

Some reports which are scheduled to run every weekend need an extra column. It's a 30 second fix, plus a bit of testing.

1. I do the fix
2. I test the fix
3. I raise a bug
4. I get someone to review my two line change so that I'm allowed to resolve the bug
5. Now I can commit the fix to source control because I have a bug number
6. I tell the DBA
7. The DBA raises a ticket with the external people who manage the database
8. An external person updates the report job

So, my 30 second fix takes half a man-day, spread among four people.
