Jun. 11th, 2009
Typical days
Jun. 11th, 2009 03:06 pmAlarm just before 7
Make tea, wake children, breakfast, shower, shave, dress, find bag, etc.
Cycle to station, two trains to London, walk to office
Stand in departmental meeting
Clear work e-mail
Do some work
Either reading programme in local school or pub and crossword or work through lunch
More work and meetings and work
Realise it's getting late
Walk to station, two trains, cycle home
Eat
If children scouts, collect in car
Get children into bed
Read personal e-mail and friends page (can't get used to calling it a "reading" page)
Do a bit of #trivia
Sleep
...and repeat.
There are many minor variations, such as when I can't get myself out of bed to make the tea and so the rest of the day is behind, or I have to work too late to see my children, or very occasionally some kind of evening out.
Edit: I forget to mention "drinking too much coffee".
