Ages ago, my children gave me a book about cutting grass in patterns. I was trying to think of some dad stuff to do with EC today when I remembered the book. He and I took some cricket stumps and a hammer and marked out a wiggly line. He started mowing.
After we'd done a few stripes we had to move the guinea pigs who were out on the lawn in their run. EC noticed that there was something poking out of Snuffles' mouth. It looked like a stick and it wouldn't come out, so we left the wiggly lawn half done and went to the vet's. She told us that it was his tooth! It had grown wonky. They took him out the back for some emergency dentistry. He's OK but I had to breathe deeply when I saw the bill.
I finished the lawn when we got back, and it's fairly successful. Should have taken a photo.
